History

Legion IV was recruited in 70 A.D. by Emperor Vespasian. The Legion fought courageously against the Germanic tribes from 166 to 180 A.D.  Legion IV was disbanded in the first half of the 4th Century.

I. 102- 106 A.D. Fought under Trajan in the Dacian Campaign.

II. 138- 161 A.D.  Parts of the Legion fought against the Moors.

III. 166- 180 A.D. Fought against the Germanic Tribes under Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
